Plainly: in-person sessions are Richmond only. Everywhere else is online, with no geographic limit.
In person: Richmond (Brighouse / Cambie)
- Richmond
One-on-one and one-on-two sessions are usually held at the Brighouse or Cambie branch of Richmond Public Library; which one is agreed with you when scheduling. If you are outside Richmond but want in person, write and ask — where the schedule allows I will try to make it work, though I cannot promise it.
Online: anywhere
Vancouver, Burnaby, Surrey, Coquitlam, and families beyond Metro Vancouver all work online. Sessions run on Zoom, and the student needs an iPad with a stylus or a computer with a mouse — because the requirement to write out the full derivation where I can see it does not change online. The method, the questioning, and the post-session notes are identical.
Start with an assessment, then decide
Every new student begins with a one-hour thinking and skills assessment. Afterwards you get a written picture of where the gap actually is, what pace your child needs, and how sessions should be scheduled. You decide from there — and if I am not the right fit, I will say so.
Sessions and communication in English, Mandarin, or Cantonese.
